16 single family residences qualify for first time home buyer NHHFA loans in the $200,000 – 300,000 price range. The New Hampshire Housing and Finance Authority has set the current purchase price limit in Hillsborough County to $299,500 with the exception of Goffstown and Manchester NH, where it is higher.

Income limits to qualify for these first time home buyer loans are $77,600 for a family of two and max $89,200 for a family of three or greater.

In addition, Litchfield NH home buyers may qualify for the federal tax credit of $8,000 if they buy a home in 2009 and have not owned one in the previous three years.

New Hampshire Housing loans can be combined with this new federal tax credit. Currently this can amount to a total of about $18,000 – $20,000 in tax credits and grants from federal and state programs.
